Babe, is a 17 year old, Sorrel, Grade, Quarter Horse gelding that stands 14.3 hands. Babe is the most gentle and calm horse we have had the pleasure of owning lately. He is the kind of horse that just likes to walk down the trail and enjoy the ride. He totes saddle bags, not spooky, doesn’t mind you cracking open cans on him, leads and follows on the trails in a group of horses. He is not going to be the horse you are going to win a race on or to get you out of a shower of rain fast. Babe just likes to go slow. He does have a good jog and lope with some encouragement but again, he likes to just walk along. We have taken this horse through the wringer out in Hitchcock in Aiken SC and he is the absolute best. He watches where he puts his feet and takes his time with everything. He loads/un loads on the trailer nice and easy and hauls super quiet. He stays the same horse whether you keep him in a stall or out in the pasture. We have lead our 2 year old around on him all over the farm and have put him in the saddle with us to ride the trails. If you’re looking for a horse to just sit back and relax on the trails or to take your kids for a ride with you, then he should work just fine for you. Babe has a great ground manners. He stands wonderful to be groomed, tacked, fly sprayed, etc. This sweet gelding is ready to find his perfect home. We will consider partial trades. We show by appointment only.
